Continuous Roamer Travel Blog

Welcome to Continuous Roamer – an adventure travel website founded by Samantha.
This website is where I share my passion for the outdoors and adventure, including skiing and safaris. Plus, you will always find a hint of luxury in my advice.
Before I started my travel blog, I spent two years working as a luxury travel designer, planning travel for clients to lavish destinations. I am a TICO certified travel agent in Ontario, Canada.
I became an expert in many 5-star hotels and luxury accommodations with my frequent site visits and complimentary stays. But even before I started a career in travel planning, visiting new destinations was my main passion.
For over 20 years, skiing has been my favourite winter getaway. I have visited the slopes in France, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, and the United States, and I can’t wait to explore even more mountains worldwide.
But my love of adventure extends beyond skiing. One of the most memorable trips I have ever taken was a luxury safari holiday to Kenya, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. I worked closely with my safari consultant to design the trip of a lifetime, carefully researching each location to ensure that our accommodations and activities were nothing short of impeccable.
Food is another of my greatest passions, and I believe travel and food go hand in hand when it comes to exploring new places. From seeking out the most highly acclaimed restaurants to indulging in the best street food – I love the challenge of finding hidden gems and local favourites. I also love a luxurious dining experience with a tasting menu and perfectly paired wines.
My affection for food extends to my adventures as well. Planning out a menu for a multi-day camping trip is an important part of the planning process. Plus, my taste in food is diverse. Whether it’s the magnificence of a Michelin-starred restaurant or the simplicity of a no-frills eatery serving mouth-watering dishes, I’m always looking for delicious food experiences. There are always bonus points available for a restaurant with a spectacular view.
My travel blog focuses on destinations with adventurous and outdoorsy activities, but I always highlight the best available accommodations in those areas.
I’ve been backcountry camping numerous times in rural Canada, experiencing a range of wildlife, and immersing myself in nature. On our camping trips, we canoed for miles to reach our destinations, carrying all our belongings, and cooking delicious meals we had prepped beforehand. Conversely, I’ve also been glamping in Ontario, experiencing both styles of camping.
While camping can be seen as a rustic and rugged experience, it’s important to remember that investing in high-quality gear and equipment can make all the difference in your overall experience. From top-of-the-line tents and sleeping bags, to portable stoves and water filtration systems, these high-ticket value items can provide the necessary tools for a successful and safe camping trip. So, while camping may not be a luxury experience, investing in the right gear can elevate it to a comfortable and memorable adventure.

You may also notice that sometimes I refer to “we” or “us”, and that generally means me and my partner, Lucas. He takes the majority of my photographs on the blog and makes up a very important part of Continuous Roamer.
